Ok , first of all I know this is way overdue, but hey, I just finally got these pictures developed a couple days ago.
It was January 6! Rey's birthday,
and we got cupcakes made just for the occasion. These are from Rey's school, where we had an excellent little party.
MMMM! Good frosting.

Two minutes after the sugar injection, all hell broke loose, and the kids went mad playing with the toys we got for everybody.
Afterwards, they played outside and ran themselves ragged. It was fun, and I can't wait til next year to do it again.

One warm day last Autumn, I dumped out some planters that had very dry dirt in them on the back patio. Rey wanted to play with some mud, so we took the hose and made some. Soon, he began smearing mud all over himself.
He continued this proccess until he was well and completely covered with dirt.
Once well coated, he removed all his clothing and covered the rest of his body. Those photos have not been posted, for obvious reasons.
He was so proud, standing there smiling and wearing nothing but a thick layer of dried mud like a prehistoric hunter after some eels or something. Of course, his enthusiasm waned slightly when faced with the prospect of being hosed off. But, truly, even that failed to greatly dampen his spirit of accomplishment.
