We went to see Junior Brown at the Nicasio Ranch on Father's day.
This was the most amazing little concert I have ever been too. First of all, Junior Brown is awesome! This guy plays everything from straight up country music to Jimi Hendrix covers - and I mean he does Jimi covers serious justice. This guy is the real deal. Astounding.

This was a small sit on the lawn concert
Also, it was a BBQ! We got great ribs and tri tip, corn, salmon, watermelon, good beer, and the links...oh, the links were good. Really good.
But I never could understand why Alex and Lisa chained poor little Neeko all by himself on the grass. Poor little lonely guy.
In the dark recesses of the Pentagon, the Director of Homeland Security enters his findings into his huge database of evildoers...
Thankfully, he is watching (out for) us!
Every year the hippies in Fairfax have this totally wacky parade and festival. There is like the slowest parade ever, with some truly nutcase floats and the weirdest combination of local businesses and eco causes represented. I liked the teenage golf cart pole dancing float, but that's another story.

One day Norton was dutifully flattening and enfurring his sofa cushion, as usual, when Rey decided that Norton had not paid proper attention to what was happening outdoors. "Look at the cars, Norton", he said, after pulling back the drapes. Then he gently patted the startled and confused feline.
and afterwards he laid down and cuddled with his fuzzy buddy.
And they stared at the cars together...
This hurts far worse than it looks. At least there's plenty of bounce there these days...
For a while it really seemed to help Rey get into his car seat without the usual struggle if we let him drive for a minute before we tried to wrestle him in there...
But soon he made that into just another delaying tactic before the battle.
But hey, the kid loves to drive, does he not?
