Halloween 2005

On a dark and scary evening, Halloween came a callin'. After several days of anticipation, and a lenghty costume selection process, Rey allowed that he would dress as a Football Player for Halloween.

The days prior passed slowly for Rey, each day marking one day closer and closer until finally, it came. We dressed Rey in his costume, and just before going out trick or treating, we asked him to pose. "Look tough!" I said, as Mom clicked the shot. Lookin' tough is what he did.

Then it was time. I dressed in my costume, sort of a combination off Woody from Toy Story and Jason from Friday the 13th - A cowboy sherriff serial killer.

And we set out. Rey got so much candy it was unbelievable. Mom and Dad slowly ate most of it over the next two weeks (don't tell Rey) but Rey got his share. He was allowed one piece when he got home from school, and one piece after dinner, and for the most part, this worked fine. When we would come home from school, Rey would say "What do I want?" and I would say, "I don't know sweetie, what do you want?". "Tell me" he would respond, and we would go back and forth for a while until he would finally say. "I want something from my pumpkin bag", and then he would get a piece of candy, and the usually short argument about having another piece before dinner would ensue.

The candy lasted for 7 weeks. Finally, it was all gone.
